MSUE EITC Statewide EITC Learning Demonstration Initiative

Project Description:
This project focuses on the expansion of IRS VITA Model in four Michigan communities that links refunds with education and aid access to financial services. It also identifies cost of model replication. Some goals include expanding the number of communities who offer the model, to promote educational seminars and expand partner funding sources for credit union participation.

 

Recent Developments:

Partnerships with IRS and MSU Detroit College of Law were formed.

Ms. Cocciarelli presented at the Southern Regional Extension-Workforce Development Conference in Orlando, Florida in March 2003.
